National Action and Coordination Group for Ending Violence Against Children (NACG EVAC) India is the Country level Civil Society Platform of South Asia Initiative to End Violence Against Children (SAIEVAC), an Apex Body of SAARC.

People’s Cultural Centre (PECUC), a 30 years old civil society Organization in Odisha is the national secretariat for NACG EVAC India which is currently implementing a project on “Child Protection Workforce Capacity Building to End Child Sexual Abuse in India” in collaboration with World Vision India, World Vision Germany and German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ). The project aims at ending Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSEA) of Children in India, with special focus in the States of Delhi and Odisha. It aims at reaching 21,100 nos. of different stakeholders like Children, Parents and caregivers; formal and informal Child Protection (CP) stakeholders like frontline ICDS & Public Health Staff (ANM, AWW & ASHA Workers), Teachers, Doctors and Para Medical Staffs, Police Officials and Special Juvenile Police Official (SJPOs), CWCs, JJBs, Childline members, Media Personnel and Civil Society Organizations through capacity building to demonstrates behaviors that provide a protective environment for all girls and boys, especially the most vulnerable.

Training and Orientation on prevention and protection of children against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation(CSAE); Life Skill Education for Children towards ending CSAE, training on Laws and regulations with special focus on POCSO & JJ Act, Child Protection Mechanism in Schools for SMC & teachers, Standard Operating Procedure for the Case management of CSAE, CSAE case investigation, legal procedures, SoP compliances by Doctors, SoP for Media reporting of CSAE cases etc. are the focussed areas to get engage with different stakeholders to end Child Sexual Abuse in India.
